Equipment

The equipment used for this service is a power tool or equipment attachment called a stump grinder. It has a large rotating cutting disc that chops away at the wood at high speed.

The disc has teeth that grind the stump and roots into small chips, like saw dust.  The stump grinder comes in a variety of sizes, all the way from the size of a lawn mower up to a truck!

Alternatives to stump grinding

There are alternative methods for stump removal, such as chemical or mechanical excavation. We highly recommend Stump grinding as the most efficient and effective way to rid yourself of tree stumps. Although Stump grinding does leave some of the tree’s root system behind, it removes the top part of the root ball, and can go as low as you require.

Once this process has taken place, the tree cannot grow back and the roots will decompose over time, unseen. You can choose how deep you want the stump to be ground down to in order to suit your needs for the land afterwards.
